Wish I could feel as confident as you. I really do want to improve my life and health but sometimes feel a bit down with posts like this [note: link to that "things you need to be aware of when dating larger women" fatphobic shit deleted, because I'm not going to give them more traffic]
Don’t know if this guy just hates fat women or is having an issue with one.
Here’s the thing about confidence as a fat woman: It take a long time and a lot of work to get there, because we are constantly told that we cannot possibly have it and should not have it. And pretty much all of us who attain some measure of confidence have it part-time. Maybe a lot of the time, maybe only occasionally. But it fails us all sometimes. Some days we just can’t feel it, just can’t face the hate today, it just hurts too much. And there’s nothing wrong with that. We are not the ones who are failing when that happens. It’s ok to feel bad when you read articles like that. It’s carefully crafted to make you feel bad. That’s the point of it.
If you can possibly keep yourself from reading stuff like that, do. There’s no reason to subject yourself to that shit. None.
I should really do a whole post on how to build confidence and like your body.
